Question 1

How does studyd turn notes into practice questions?

Accepted Answer

You paste between 40 and 15,000 words of notes and choose quick, full, cloze or mixed mode. AI first pulls out the facts, definitions, sequences and contrasts, then writes practice items from them, each with an answer, an explanation and a difficulty. Long notes are processed in sections so that later parts of the text are covered too.

Question 2

Is studyd free and are my notes stored?

Accepted Answer

Free use needs no sign-up and allows 2 new decks per day and 3 free deck slots (3 Quick drills, or 1 Full deck, Cloze sheet or Mixed deck), kept in your own browser. The text free users paste is never stored. Pro, coming soon at 9 dollars a month, will add unlimited generations, unlimited decks saved to your account, spaced repetition and CSV or Anki export. Pro decks store only the generated items, not your notes.

Question 3

How do I make flashcards from my lecture notes?

Accepted Answer

Paste the lecture notes, pick cloze mode for fill in the blank cards or mixed mode for a variety of question types, and generate. Practice the deck straight away on the site. If you want the cards in Anki, or want due dates scheduled with spaced repetition, those two features are part of the Pro plan.
